Day 1

ARRIVAL AND WELCOME DINNER

Day 2

PUNTA LAGUNA-COBA-VALLADOLID

Our journey into the Maya world begins at Punta Laguna, a protected natural reserve. where a Mayan shaman blesses our journey.  Explore a partially uncovered archaeological site and spot spider monkeys in the wild. We’ll swim in a crystal-clear cenote, a sacred sinkhole once revered by the Maya. Our adventure continues at Coba, home to the tallest pyramid in Yucatan and an expansive site filled with temples, palaces, and ancient pathways.  Afterwards we will be arriving in charming Valladolid for the evening at leisure. 

Day 3

EK-BALAM AND RIO LAGARTOS RESERVE

Ek Balam Maya Archaelogical Site

Visit to Ek Balam, one of Yucatán’s most intriguing Maya sites. Here we’ll admire the stunning façade built by the ruler Ukit Kan Lek’tok for his mausoleum, decorated with remarkable carvings that tell stories of power and spirituality. Our journey continues to Rio Lagartos, where we take a boat ride to explore its winding mangrove estuary. Keep your eyes open for herons, pelicans, and the spectacular flocks of pink flamingos that make this reserve famous. In the evening, we return to Valladolid to relax and enjoy the colonial charm of the city.

Day 4

CHICHEN ITZA, ARCHAELOGICAL SITE

This morning we travel toward Merida, a beautiful colonial city founded in the 16th century. On the way, we stop at Chichen Itza, the most iconic of the Maya cities and today recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. During our guided tour, we’ll admire the towering Temple of Kukulcan, the Great Ball Court, and the Temple of the Warriors discovering the myths, rituals, and astronomical knowledge that made this site the cultural heart of the Maya world. To refresh, we’ll swim in the cool, crystalline waters of a nearby cenote, before continuing to Merida for the night.

Day 5

UXMAL PYRAMIDS SITE & CHOCOLATE MUSEUM

Discover Uxmal, one of the greatest masterpieces of Maya architecture. Explore its impressive palaces, temples, and intricate stone carvings before visiting the Chocolate Museum to learn about cacao, one of Mesoamerica’s most treasured gifts to the world. Overnight in Merida.

Day 6

MERIDA COLONIAL CAPITAL, CITY TOUR

Merida Colonial Architecture

Explore the vibrant city of Merida on a guided tour through its historic center. Visit the Main Square, the Cathedral, the historic Montejo House, Plaza Grande, and the lively Lucas de Galvez Market. Experience local culture firsthand by stopping at a traditional cantina to enjoy a beer alongside the locals. Overnight stay in Merida.

Day 7

IZAMAL AND PLAYA DEL CARMEN QUINTANA ROO

On our journey towards Playa del Carmen, we stop in Izamal, famously known as the “Yellow City.” Here, we visit the Convent of San Antonio de Padua and then explore the town on a horse-drawn carriage tour, discovering the traditions and daily life of both modern and ancient Maya communities. After this charming stop, we continue to Playa del Carmen, where the evening is yours to relax and enjoy at leisure.
